Intensive, Comprehensive, and Interactive Training Produces Significant Results for NEBB International Members
Training consists of two + days of intensive instruction either online or at strategic locations throughout the United States.
You’ll learn all the laws that affect appraisers / valuers and appraisals with intensive study on the regulations and ethics NEBB International and its members uphold, promote, and endorse, specifically, the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Following successful completion of a written examination and completing a sample appraisal that is reviewed by a board of your peers, you are awarded and are authorized to use the prestigious professional designation of CMEA.
Once you become a member of NEBB International, you’ll be invited to join our monthly international training calls where you’ll hear success stories from other Members who have had phenomenal results in addition to guest speakers and training on a given topic.
That’s not all. NEBB International is the only known association that has developed an alliance with industry leaders to provide a central database of machinery and equipment. With just a few clicks of the mouse, you can easily navigate through over 5 million comparables of sold and items for sale in nearly every industry! It is difficult to find any other association which is as committed to its membership than NEBB evidenced by the 24 hour support, tools, equipment brokerage training, and innovations we have in place for the Member’s use.
CMEA Learning Objective
The course will address methodologies and assigning estimates of value. You’ll also learn the 4 Strict Points of Ethical Obligations, Advocacy Only Of The Appraisal, Certification, and a Defensible Appraisal that will hold up to scrutiny. The CMEA professional designation is earned by successfully completing and passing a 100 question written test and preparing a Sample USPAP compliant Summary Appraisal Report that is reviewed and approved by a Board of their peers.
Program Content
Through comprehensive instruction, a NEBB International member will study and learn Chapters 7 & 8 of USPAP reporting and ethics, the 20 purposes for a machinery/equipment appraisal. You will learn how to appraise, details and methodologies of the appraisal approaches, identification and reporting of machinery/equipment, sources of pricing and reference materials, depreciation theory, liquidation value concepts, court testimony, and writing a USPAP compliant Certified Appraisal Report.
What Can You Expect From LIVE Classroom CMEA Training?
You will have the benefit of networking with other new NEBB International members around the world and learning in person from the Director, John Harris. The LIVE class is conducted simultaneously with the ONLINE course. Typically, there is no space or limitations on the number of seats available.
A NEBBI member is provided the opportunity to attend a refresher course either ONLINE or LIVE whenever they feel the need.

What Can You Expect From ONLINE CMEA Training?
A CMEA training class incorporates the art and science of machinery and equipment appraisals. John Harris, the Director of NEBB International, will instruct you ONLINE during a simultaneous conference call. All you need to do is watch your monitor, listen on the phone, and follow along in your CMEA Training Manual. We encourage active participation and interaction between everyone in attendance.
